Beauty Tips For Body Care
I struggled with my skin for years.I took the route I think many others took where I destroyed my not so terrible skin with extremely harsh products to the point where my skin was sore and inflamed 24/7.I stopped going out because i was so scared of what other people would say and I was ashamed to hang out with my friends because I felt like I was a burden on them in social situations.From 2011-2016 I barely left my house apart from work because I didn't want to show my face in public.I discovered this sub a while ago and over the past year or so thanks to the lovely people on this sub, I have been able to make educated choices on how to treat my skin and month after month my skin started to improve.I went out last night for the first time in forever and I had 3 strangers compliment my skin, one going as far as nicknaming me "Porcelain" and introducing me to his friends as such. I felt like crying I was so happy.I just wanted to give a big thanks to everyone on this sub. Your little comments and constant reminders that all the badness is just temporary really helped me and really changed my life.It sounds silly to say, but you guys helped me get through the worst and if I can do anything to return the favour, please do not hesitate to message me.Thank you.

Hey r/SkincareAddiction!I cut myself for about a year as a teenager, and ten years later, I am still dealing with very obvious scars that won't go away. I usually put mineral oil on my skin when I get out of the shower, but that's about it.I am in a highly competitive professional field, and I do not want co-workers or clients to see my scars. I usually am able to get away with suit jackets. I sometimes cover them up with Dermablend (but the current formula isn't great -- the bottles I have from about four years ago still work much better).Recently, I decided to try to see if I could get my scars to fade. I understand nothing short of plastic surgery can remove scars completely (and even that's a gamble.). Mine are mostly flat and hypopigmented, which is a difficult type of scar to treat. They're tons of really small, barely visible lines and then a few bigger ones.I started to use Bio Oil in February. I know this sub thinks is just overpriced oils, but you can get two of the 4.8 fluid ounce jars on Amazon for like $24. And it seems to be helping?I searched a bit on this sub and found a few people recommended an AHA, so I added Paula's Choice 10% AHA Body Exfoliant.Can you guys give me some feedback?Is there better products to use? Should I use a Retinoid? Should I just give up and look into plastic surgery?What do you see happening in the fading process? This is pretty awkward, but I'm gonna go for it, because I need help. Not gonna post any pictures, don't worry.Basically, ever since teenage years I have had lots of little whiteheads on my penis. My doctor said that they are just big glands and completely normal.But they aren't regular Fordyce spots, because they are a bit bigger and most of the spots do contain white gunk similar to white heads and can be popped similarly.Just like white heads on my face (which I don't have a huge problem with anymore) they look quite terrible and I would really like to get rid of them.I shower daily and I clean my penis decently. I have tried similar routines as my face - cleaning well and moisturizing, but it just doesn't seem to have any effect.Any suggestions?
