Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hey r/skincareaddiction!I started birth control a week ago and I've just realized my face has started breaking out more than ever. I know generally there is an initial flare up of acne when you first go on birth control and then it settles down but is there any way for me to deal with this in the meantime? Because I generally don't have breakouts (with the exception of a large, hormonal monster once a month) I don't know how to deal with this. Should I be getting benzoyl peroxide?I have combination skin type and my routine is generally cleanser, toner and moisturizer. Thanks for all your help!

X-post from LPT-Request. User asks how to get rid of blackheads, responses appear to be harmful rather than good (blackhead remover and strips). Can anyone please recommend proper advice, not "carpet tape"?

[Rant] A little annoyed with people arguing against facts
Beauty Tips For Body Care
Can I just rant for a second? I'm mildly annoyed. There was a post on reddit's front page about some serious sun damage on a little boy.Someone commented "jesus just put a shirt on him" or something like that. Most t-shirts don't provide adequate UV protection. I didn't want some kid to get sunburned, so I said "Shirts don't provide that much UV protection"I get the rudest reply back. So I show them that the skin cancer foundation agrees with me. Their reply? No, I'm just wrong. No source cited to back up their claim and I'm down-voted.-________________________-We need better science education in America.

Shock winter weather change has made my forehead feel really tight and I'm confused.
Beauty Tips For Body Care
I'm sorry google wanted to talk about foreskins and I couldn't find anything in the subreddit search.I'm from QLD, Australia which has a similar climate to Florida. Approximately 3 weeks ago I visited the US for two weeks and enjoyed some American summer, then I returned home to the coldest winter in years and my skin is rebelling.I have naturally oily skin that pimples when I eat dairy, am stressed or hormone changes. I'm fairly sure my current pimples are due to PMS. I've been hanging out around a lot of heaters this last couple weeks and I've noticed the heater having an immediate effect on my skin feeling tight. Every winter I experience eczema on my hands and put a lot of effort into moisturising my skin but I'm not used to this. Last winter I tried buying the Cerave tub but I'm pretty sure I reacted negatively to it.My routine:Paula's Choice CLEAR PORE NORMALIZING CLEANSER ,moisturiser Paula's Choice HYDRALIGHT MOISTURE-INFUSING LOTIONand exfoliator Paula's Choice RESIST DAILY PORE-REFINING TREATMENT WITH 2% BHA only once a day.As well Lucas Paw Paw Ointment at night, which my skin has been loving for years.I suspect my skin is really dry due to the dry heat, my forehead will feel tight during the day and reapplying moisturising cream only momentarily relieves it. Whilst writing this I reapplied and 15 minutes later it feels tight again.Does anyone have any advice? I'm at a loss for what to do. I keep applying moisturising cream but my skin feels like it is contracting. Here's some pictures:sideforeheadstraightI'm not sure what to do because my skin is a on the sensitive side and I don't want to just grab random things and throw them on my face. Oh and I don't wear makeup to work.Do you have any advice or suggestions for me please?

Help looking for a new cleanser!
Beauty Tips For Body Care
I've been using the Cerave Foaming but I think it is drying my combination skin out. I switched to the Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Foaming but I think it is breaking me out. I have tried the Cerave Hydrating and that broke me out as well. I'm looking for a cleanser that is gentle and won't break me out or dry my skin out.
