[Acne] PDL / Vbeam is the holy grail for PIE reduction

Beauty Tips For Body Care
TL;DR - I got one session of Vbeam (costed $450) back on July 17. In the 5 weeks since, I have seen more progress in redness reduction than I have in 3 months of silicone sheeting and close to 18 months of chemical peels (glycolic, lactic, and "fade peel" from MUAC)First off, I started getting adult acne back around November 2013. Slowly and slowly, it got bad. Really bad. Salicyclic acid at the time was the only thing that could prevent new breakouts but by then, the damage was done. Early 2014, I was left with fairly severe PIE (post inflammatory erythema) scars that at the time I had believed to be PIH (post inflammatory hyperpigmentation).I started a regimen of fade peels (from MUAC) and then went to glycolic acid peels and worked my way up the strengths until I maxed. All this while not seeing much results. Any progress that I made from chemical peels happened in the first 8-12 weeks and then it seemed to plateau. I still kept doing it though, because god dammit, I'm gonna have faith that my scars will go away.Eventually, I figured it was PIE and started using silicone sheeting (ScarAway gel) and that seemed to help... kind of. I'm not sure it's a placebo but it did seem to have lightened. I used it for about 3 months while still keeping up with the chemical peels because I had hope. Anyways that is besides the point - I went in for a Vbeam session (which took only one hour btw, 45 mins for topical anesthesia and about 15 mins for the actual laser part). Needless to say, I am extremely happy with my results. Unfortunately I'm not posting pictures because I'm self conscious but I thought I would make this post for fellow PIE sufferers. My estimation of results:1.5 years of chemical peels - ~10-15% reduction3 months silicone sheeting - ~5-10% reduction1 Vbeam session and multiple weeks of recovery - ~40-50% reductionI'm going to wait another four weeks or so and see if my first sessions is still lightening the scars but I'll probably go in for another one. Worth every penny.
