[Product Question] Why does it seem like Aqauphor is clearing up my skin?

Hey SCA! So I just have a question. Why does it seem like Aquaphor is clearing up my skin? Here's a bit of background.The last year I've been trying to get a routine working for me. I've never had bad skin, just blackheads, largish poors, and occasional hormonal acne. It's also super dry. However, after trying many products, my skin only got worse. It didn't matter how long I went before introducing new products, the price of the products, etc. My skin was just so angry.So finally, I stopped using everything for awhile and decided to just use Ponds dry skin cream. It made my skin somewhat less dry. So I started to put Aquaphor on top of it at night. Holy. Crap. If I had painful pimples under the skin, I'd wake up and they'd be completley white and ready to pop. I'm not sure why, but it seems like the Aquaphor is a mirical product for my skin! Why is it that this works on my pimples, but nothing else does? I'm super curious so thanks if you can answer!TL;DR: Skin is soooo super sensitive and hates products. Stopped using everything but Ponds dry skin cream and Aquaphor. Aquaphor clears up my skin over night. Why might this be?
