Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hi all, I got a laparoscopic appendectomy last Sunday and this Friday I visited the surgeon again for a checkup. While there she changed and re-dressed two of my incisions and left the dressings off of the third one. She told me that to help with the scarring I should rub vitamin E on the incisions every day (after they're healed, of course). However, I've done some research online on vitamin E and scarring and have found that it seems there's no actual evidence that vitamin E does anything to improve scarring, in fact, it might make the scars worse. My question is really, what should I do to make sure the scarring is minimal? Are there any lotions or creams that would lessen the scarring? Or should I just leave them and hope for the best? Thanks for any help!
