Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hello all! First off, THANK YOU for this subreddit existing. I came over here from /r/makeupaddiction and was blown away by the sheer amount of science that has gone into this place.I'm 35 years old. Spent my teen years with a lot of acne, and now have scarring and PIH as a result. My skin is mostly clear now, but the scarring, PIH, and some enlarged pores have got me thinking that it's time to take better care of my skin.My current routine isn't much. Morning is water, witch hazel, and moisturizer. Then whatever makeup routine I decide on. PM is makeup removal, water, witch hazel, and moisturizer. I cleanse with a Burts Bees soap bark cleanser a few times a week in the PM. I only recently discovered the witch hazel had alcohol in it, which is probably not helping my skin any.So I found this place and immediately did some research. My skin is on the dry side (New England winters are the worst), so I went for some hydrating products. I decided on: CeraVe hydrating cleanser, CeraVe AM and PM moisturizing cream, and some Ponds Rejuvaness anti-wrinkle cream for an exfoliant. I may opt to look for some Thayers witch hazel (because I loved that stuff and haven't been able to find it in a while), if I feel the need for a toner. I'm REALLY excited to see what a proper routine and the right products will do for me. Tonight I plan to start with the cleanser and PM cream, and slowly add in things from there.Like I said before, thank you all for this subreddit. It makes this nerd girl happy.
