[Sun Care] Using spf 30 moisturizer - need I bother with sunscreen too?

I'm using CeraVe facial moisturizing lotion am spf 30. The SCA routine says a moisturizer is essential (and recommends the above), and then says a sunscreen is recommended. Will I really benefit from both?
