Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hello,I am currently battleing closed comodone, blackheads, and mild acne. I almost had everything under control, then I tried a new bb cream. Now I have comodones on my forehead, sigh. I have used Paulas Choice 4% BHA foam, and it works great to control blackheads and for use when everything is under control but is not helping with the CC. I find that any lower %BHA has no impact for me, which makes finding products hard here in Canada. My bottle is almost finished, and PC is expensive, so I am looking at other products. Also, I have some scaring from closed comodones on my chest. I am hoping a chemical peel will help with them as well, thoughts? I am prone to keloid scars, I have some on my back due to acne, so anything I can do to get the scars under control is a bonus. Or with the discoloration keliods cause? I do see a derm for the keloids, so I will be asking him my next appointment (I'm due for another injection soon). I would like some ideas to bounce at him though, I am working on tight budget so expensive treatments are not an option. What I am looking at: On amazon.ca I have been looking at Larachem and The Cosmetic Company glycolic peels and salycilic peel. They do not seem to have much for reviews, though, so if anyone has an opinions I would love to know! This is my first time looking at high concentration peels, so all advise is welcome. I'm not even sure what size to get. How many treatments can I get from a 1 Oz bottle? Here is my current routine: AM Wash face with water or cleanser, currently using Body Shop tea tree oil cleaner and toner. PC aha or bha, I tend to alternate. Clean and clear moisturizer. Makeup (still working on finding something that doesn't cause break outs....but that's a whole other post) PM Wash face with same products, PC 4% BHA, moisturizeI have microderm abrasion scrub from my Dr that I use 3 times a week. It works great for getting rid of dry and dead skin, but is expensive. I also use mud masks from the body shop, tea tree and seaweed. Lover them!My skin alternates between combination dry/oily to oily so I don't always follow the routine exact. And with winter coming I expect I will be more on the dry side soon. My skin is so wishy washy.Any thoughts or opinions on what I am doing/thinking of doing are greatly appreciated. Or if anyone knows of a good product to try that is available in Canada. My dr thought I was ready to try just over the counter treatments, and everything was slowly getting fixed, but then I had to try a new bb cream. If I can find a way to fix this without going back on a perscription it would be great! At the very least I will have some ideas to talk with my dr about. Thanks!
