[Product Question] Vit C serum ok with my chest and face, but burns my fingers even after washing with soap... Why?

Is it because fingers in general are more sensitive? I try to apply the serum to my skin as quick as possible and then wash it off my fingers really well, and apply cerave cream. But the pads on my fingers still hurt like I scraped them with sand paper. :[ it hurts to touch the IPhone screen.
