Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hi Reddit! I'm a 28/M and have crazy shoulder and chest hair. Girlfriends in the past never objected to the chest, but the shoulders were considered a bit too crazy so I used to shave them with a razor. Now that I've started lifting and going to the gym seriously, I've developed the habit of shaving my full chest and shoulders on a daily basis (I simply keep a razor in the shower and keep it smooth). It allows me to see progress better, I like it, and my skin deals pretty well with it as long as I don't let the hairs get too long.Recently a girl I've been seeing said all this shaving is "damaging" my skin, and I should wax instead. Fair enough, I thought, I might try it. I have now let the hair grow long enough to be waxable, which has been a nightmare (red, itchy, bumpy chest for weeks) but now it's at that length. I'm ready to set a date with a skin salon for hot waxing of the chest, belly, shoulders, and back. However, before I get the pretty expensive hot wax (which may cost up to 70€) - does this make any damn sense? Am I going to need to fork out 70 bucks every month to keep myself smooth and short? How often would I need to wax anyway? Isn't it much more straightforward to keep shaving manually and then my razors are the only cost?I have so many questions as a guy, as I never waxed, and I can't seem to find anyone online with my dilemma. Can anyone here advise me on the pros/cons? I'm tempted to just abandon ship and shave it off rather than wax, given the cost.
