Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hi all!I took a look at the sidebar as well as used reddit's search function to look and see if anyone had asked this question previously, but it didn't turn up anything recent.A few years about I struggled with cystic acne around my mouth and my eyebrows (age 20-25). After trying out several different dermatologists, I finally found one who was willing to treat my acne a little more aggressively. She introduced me to Jessner's wipes, which she performed in her office. She did these peels about 1 every 3 months and it worked absolute miracles on my skin. My cystic acne was completely gone, the dark spots from previous breakouts diminished and basically disappeared. The texture of my skin was like butter. I was in heaven! The best part of all, was that my dermatologist did this all free of charge for the year leading up to my wedding. She told me to consider the treatments a wedding present. With my wedding 2 years ago, I have started to see my acne come back- not nearly as bad as it was years ago, but I dread the thought of my skin going back to the mess it was...I had an appointment to check in with my dermatologist today and she told me that any more peels would be $150. My financial situation right now doesn't allow me to spend that kind of money on my skin right now, so I need to find an alternative.TLDR: Want to find an at-home version of a Jessner's wipe and need advice. Is a Jessner's wipe a type of glycolic acid peel? Does anyone have any experience with at-home glycolic acid peels that would have results similar to a Jessner's wipe? Product recommendations? Strength/ frequency recommendations? Thanks in advance for your help!
