[PSA] BareFacedTruth.com and blatant plagiarism :(

Beauty Tips For Body Care
In the course of researching a blog post about postinflammatory hyperpigmentation, I googled a few different terms on the subject, opened a million tabs, and then read through them one by one. I came across this paper from the Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology, published in July 2010. (Sidenote, it's a fabulous paper - a really thorough aggregation of a lot of different research around PIH.)A few tabs later, I got to this post on BareFacedTruth.com, published in June 2013. Bare Faced Truth is a science-focused skincare blog I've loved and seen linked here a lot, so I was thrilled that they'd written such a thorough post. Then I read it, and realized that it looked familiar...It's essentially copied and pasted from the Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology paper. Not only is it blatantly plagiarized, but they don't even cite that paper as a source. I discovered this a couple weeks ago and left a comment asking why it wasn't cited, but my comment was never approved and is sitting in moderation limbo.Anyway, I figured other readers of that blog might be similarly disappointed to learn that it's not a reliable or ethical source of skincare information. Bummer :(
