[Skin Concerns] Should I just listen to my dermatologist?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Dermatologist has been great so far, but bit hesitant with new prescriptions. He prescribed me 100mg minocylcine 2x a day a month ago. It's now the five week mark and I have cleared up A LOT. No more actives at all just lots of discoloration that he said would take few months to clear up. So I have one more month of antibiotics to take but then he also prescribed me 1%/5% clindamycin Benzoyl peroxide for AM and 0.025% tretnoin at night. He was helpful and said he gave me very mild concentrations and to use a very small pea size and a small amount goes a long way. He was right with the minocycline helping me, should I just trust his judgement and begin the topicals too?My main concern is the combination of tret and the C/BP. He did warn me of dryness but I read a combo like this could potentially really irritate my skin? Furthermore, I'm beginning to have clear skin just the scarring issue. Is tret necessary and how bad would I purge on it? Are the stories of purge exaggerated or is it actually bad? It's been such a good week having a clear face so I'm really trying my best to make sure I don't screw up. Thanks a lot!
