Okay first I'm gonna start off with posting my routine then I'll explain why I use what I do.AM: - Wash face with Derma Topix 5% BP Wash - Mosturize with Nivea for Men Gel MoisturizerPM: -Wash face with just water -Stridex in the Red Box -Nivea for Men Gel Moisturizer -Spot treat with 10% BPI'm a 19 year old male and up until last November my skin care routine was just washing with Clean and Clear 5% BP scrub in the shower. My skin was decent, like maybe a little red in some parts and my sebaceous filaments were kinda noticeable, but I rarely had more than one pimple at a time.Anyway, one week my pimples got a little worse than usual and I got fed up. I decided to try something new, and stupidly I didn't really spot test or slowly introduce new stuff. Unsurprisingly I broke out pretty bad, and eventually I ended up going to my derm and got perscribed tretinoin and minocycline, the tretinoin broke me out worse than I've ever been broken out before, like every pimple I had for the past two months suddenly came back worse. I stuck with it thinking it was purging, but around the 1.5 month mark I just got fed up with my skin being constantly red. I finally stopped for good after I got an awful cystic pimple on my chin in the beginning of January, which is just now finally going away.I plan on finishing out my minocycline until the perscription runs out, which I think will be about one more month. I've also switched back to a BP wash, but now one without the microbeads. Also about a week and a half ago I started using Stridex in the red box, and I experienced some minimal purging but I feel like it's working relatively well. I feel like my moisturizer isn't working well enough as my skin still feels kind of dry and ends up pretty oily by the end of the day. However, this morning I noticed another cystic pimple coming in right next to where the old one is finally going away :(. I'm just kind of fed up, so any advice for a moisturizer or anything else would be greatly appreciated.
