[Routine Help] BP works like a charm, but has a lot of downsides. Is there any hope for a routine that would be as effective and not so harsh?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
When I told my doctor that BP works for my acne but I don't like it because it stings, he told me that's the way it goes with BP and to keep using it if it works. I've used BP since I was 12, so about 10 years, and I know pretty well how my skin responds to it. All in all, my acne is mild and as of right now my skin doesn't look too bad. The last time I went without I developed comedones of varying severity all over my face and a few deep/cystic pimples. I still get blemishes, but they are less severe and heal/become less inflamed a lot faster. Another important note is that I'm trying to stop picking and keeping my skin clear is a big part of that, both because I have less to pick and it replaces the sensory need.My main annoyances are: 1)By giving the BP at least 10 minutes to dry before putting on moisturizer, I've minimized the stinging. If I used a tad too much moisturizer though, the BP seems to stay wet and continue stinging. Despite carefully applying it, some days my skin is more sensitive than others and I can't sleep because my eyelids, nostrils, and entire face burn. Washing it off doesn't really seem to help, it agitates the sensitive area instead. This only happens once a week or so, but I hate it. 2)I have dry flaky skin in/under my eyebrows and on the sides of my nose. If I avoid getting BP there, sometimes it helps, by I also get pimples in and around my eyebrows. 3) A host of other odds and ends like itching, redness, and flaky patches if I failed to applying it with surgical precision. I think it may also make my skin more fragile, so I scab a lot more easily. My skin is combination, sensitive, and acne prone. I'll post my routine in the comments.Overall, BP is a pain in my ass. I'd like to find something better, but I have my doubts this stuff could be as effective without being equally as harsh.
