[Skin Concerns] What happens to a cyst when it never bursts and just disappears into the skin?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Had this big, horribly painful cyst between my eyebrows. After a few days of hell (couldn't even move my mouth or smile or chew without it throbbing painfully) I tried lancing it. Nothing came out; it must have been too deep. For about a week and a half now, it's slowly gotten smaller and smaller. Super painful, then less painful, etc. it got harder the smaller it got. Now, the pain is gone and all that's left is a small, hard spot that feels no bigger than a normal pimple which I presume will completely be gone by tomorrow morning at the rate that it's been shrinking. I've never had a cyst in that spot before. My question is: where the hell did it go? It never lanced, not even in my sleep or anything. The skin never broke. It just...seemingly evaporated, inside my skin. I've heard this means it's going to come back over and over until it lances, but is this true if it never even became close enough to a head to drain? If it doesn't drain, does this mean it will absolutely come back or do I have a chance at it not coming back? Thanks, and sorry for the gross descriptions.Skin Type: combo, dehydrated, acne-prone, very sensitive.
