[Acne][Update] Diagnosed with MRSA, antibiotics didn't help much against my acne... Where to go from here?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Previous post hereSo just a quick recap, I had clear skin until end of January. Started breaking out over my visit to my family. 2 months in, I finally went to the Dr. Got prescribed cephalexin, didn't do much against my acne. Went for a 2nd opinion, who highly suspected I had MRSA. Did some confirmation swabs and prescribed me muciropin nasal ointment, 1% triclosan body wash and trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole oral antibiotics. About 7 days into my 10 day course, acne started popping up again.Went back to the Dr after my 10 days were up, he said my swabs came in negative for MRSA, but I did have a staph infection in my nose which got treated. I'm more than a little annoyed that he would put me under an MRSA decolonization protocol when I didn't even have MRSA...Dr. examined my face again and said that it looks like normal acne... He prescribed me Duac (5% BP and clindamycin). I'm almost 2 weeks into my treatment but I'm still getting painful whiteheads. I stuck my tongue against my cheek and the whitehead oozed pus and blood.Anyway, I have to also mention that my menstruation cycles have gone haywire ever since the end of January (when I started breaking out). I've been 10-13 days late for my period from Jan-Feb. I've been tracking my periods and they were consistent, only varied 1-2 days. I am currently already over a week late for my period. I also had a blood test done around the time I was prescribed cephalexin, and both my GPs noticed my hormones are a bit weird. I'm not sure how to read my results though so I won't bore you with it.Anyway, has anyone had luck with using birth control to treat acne? It just doesn't seem like a coincidence that my periods are late ever since I started breaking out... I'm getting painful cysts in my groin area (around the bikini line), which I'm not sure is related to hormone issues or what. My GP said that he'll do some swabs to test what they are.I'm going to head to the GP tomorrow and wanted to ask a few questions:Will birth control help against my acne issues? And would it stabilise my late periods? What birth control is recommended for treating acne? Should I just go on Roaccutane and be done with it? I know Roaccutane is a last resort and is for really serious acne, but I'm just tired of dealing with this...What the hell could my acne flare up be caused by? My GP seemed really confused when he saw that the antibiotics weren't treating my acne. I told him that my face has been mostly clear throughout all my life, even during my teen years. I only deal with a few small pimples here and there, nothing this drastic. He said he appreciated that I told him about my history with acne, but he thinks that it might be adult onset acne?? I can't understand why my AHA/BHA just completely stopped working against this acne.Other than birth control, is there anything else I can do? Prior to my breakouts, I used chemical exfoliators which worked great for my oily T zone. I had a good skincare regimen going, but the breakout has really stuffed it up. I don't want to use chemical exfoliators along with Duac since the prescrition info told me not to use salicylic acid with it (among other things).I'm just sick of it honestly, I wish this nightmare would stop soon. I guess this is an update of sorts... No happy ending yet.
