Beauty Tips For Body Care
I've been a long time lurker and from the information i've gathered from this sub i've gotten rid of my acne that i've had for the past 8 years in basically 10 days.10 days i submitted a post asking about a certain cleanser and from lurking around afterwards i decided to change up my routine a bit - and i have to say it was the best thing i've ever done. i threw out my cream cleanser and toner (i think my cream cleanser was clogging me up) and the toner was pretty much useless - more just to pamper myself.my skin type was dehydrated (i've tackled this issue) and now it's combo/acne prone. My acne was mainly focused on my cheek area, and a some on my jawline and chin - my forehead and nose have always been completely clear. my routine that has cleared me of my acne is as follows:AM: DermaSukin Daily Hydrating Wash, Indeed Labs Vitamin C24 (wait 20 minutes) then Indeed Labs Hydraluron Moisture Jelly, Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Face Sunscreen Lotion SPF50+ (wait 20 minutes then apply my makeup as usual)PM Palmers Ultra Gentle Cleansing Face Oil, DermaSukin Daily Hydrating Wash, Indeed Labs Vitamin C24 (wait 20 minutes), Benzac AC 2.5% gel (wait 30-40 minutes), Indeed Labs Hydraluron Moisture Jelly**Note on the Benzyl Peroxide gel that literally made ALL the difference for me I've been using BP for probably 6-8 months now and only saw very minimal results until 10 days ago i changed the way i apply it. I used to slather it on in a thick-ish layer and just leave it whereas now i apply a VERY thin layer, let it dry, and then apply another VERY thin layer and then wait 30 minutes to continue my routine. i can't remember where i saw someone mention this, but i saw it and i thought it wouldn't hurt to try.I use Derma E Overnight Peel as my AHA around twice a week, and once a week i do a honey mask (it makes my skin really soft!). I also use rosehip oil sometimes if i want a glow to my skin or extra moisture - vaseline as well (which i haven't needed thanks to my new moisturiser!)I still have some scarring remaining and my SFs are more prominent than i'd like so i've ordered Paula's choice 2% liquid BHA and PTR Retinol to add to my routine as well, which means i'll need to adjust my routine a bit when they arrive.Just wanted to say thanks to this sub! before i came here i slathered my face in clearasil, biore and mario badescu which is all full of alcohol, fragrance and other irritants but due to marketing i never really thought to look at the ingredients - i just wanted to see "acne" on the label (ignorance on my part). i just wanted to share with others what helped me, as i have been helped by so many here :)** another side note i used to have VIOLENT acne on my chin and jaw as well that matched my cheeks - and this 85% disappeared when i went vegan around 2 years ago, but it had little impact on my cheek acne.
