[Acne] A very simple skincare routine which has helped greatly.

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I have struggled with acne and crappy skin for a very, very long time. I have tried so many lotions, potions, toners, cleansers, switching make up etc. you know how it is. After getting married, needing to cook and clean an entire apartment as well as working full time, I just did not have nor want the time and attention devoted to my skincare routine. I wanted something simple and that worked, at least to some point where it kept my acne minimal/manageable.I have always thought I am allergic to benzoyl peroxide and avoided it in skincare at all costs. I thought I was allergic because on the first onset of pimples at the age of 12 or so, I used to wash my face with Oxy maximum strength 10% benzoyl peroxide. After a day or two, my skin would be incredibly sensitive, red, and hot/itchy. I could never continue using it. I tried it again in Clinique and had the same reaction. My husband is a physician and after breaking down about my skin one day-he suggested I try topical antibiotics. I reminded him that your skin develops resistance towards most antibiotics, except benzoyl peroxide. He asked why don't I use benzoyl peroxide and I told him I was allergic. He later explained to me an allergic reaction is a lot more than a little discomfort/redness/itchiness. That is just the nature of benzoyl peroxide.I didn't want to spend too much money as I was expecting the same reaction from benzoyl peroxide, so I bought the Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask. I used it in the shower that night, and to my amazement, no drastic irritation even though it had menthol in it. My skin did not look improved or anything, but I stuck with it because my skin was surprisingly tolerating the 3.5% benzoyl peroxide in the cleanser/mask. Over the next week or so, my pimples began to get smaller, dryer, and literally I would be able to just peel them off. Long story short, here is my super simple skincare routine:AM: I don't wash my face, not even with water. I just go straight to applying a pump of neutrogena sensitive skin moisturizer. I apply Neutrogena skinclearing foundation with a clean disposable sponge.Pm: Hop in the shower, squirt some clear pore cleanser onto my palms, rub, apply, massage, rinse after a minute or so. Then I go to sleep. That's it. My skin looks so much better and feels a lot cleaner too. Hope I helped!
