[REVIEW] Neutrogena Rapid Clear Daily Pads VS. Stridex Redbox (both 2% salicylic acid pads)

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I see stridex in the red box mentioned on here a all the time as a great cheap BHA, but also how a lot of people hate how drying it is.I was at CVS the other week and saw that Neutrogena made a 2% salicylic acid pad (same as stridex). Of course I had to get them to see how they worked. Below is a lil review of each!Stridex Red Box: Easy to find and cheap. You can get a giant tub with like, 2x the quantity for not a bad price on sale. They work really well for me, but can be slightly to extremely drying depending on your skin. Alcohol free! They have a strong menthol smell and can be tingly (which can be a pro/con. imo it's a pro, but some people don't like that strong menthol smell/tingle).Neutrogena Rapid Clear Daily Pads: Not alcohol free. When I applied it as I did my stridex the alcohol sort of made my eyes burn/water for a second. They're also fragranced, a sort of fruity/vaguely artificial tropical scent. I wasn't really a huge fan, but if you dislike menthol this is definitely not that. I also tested the pH with my trusty strips and it appeared to be in the effective range, around a 2 or a 3. The best part though, they didn't feel drying!!! After 20 minutes my face felt a teency bit in need of moisture, but it didn't feel like if i smiled my face would crumble off, and it didn't make my skin flake. It was amazing!!! I also think they're a bit more expensive than stridex, but not much. They were under 10$, maybe 7 or 8. Ulta has them on sale now for 7.64.Overall I think i prefer the stridex (i just really hated the smell and eye-burning of the alcohol of the neutrogena) but if you really hate how drying the stridex are these would be a good alternative!!
