[Review] Paula's Choice Calm Redness Relief Toner and Repairing Serum

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I got samples of these because I liked the idea of calming my face (especially during allergy season), and reducing redness is always a plus. It's got a nice soothing minty green theme to the packaging and its ingredients seemed really nice, a bunch of plant extracts and ingredients that claim to soothe, be anti-inflammatory, anti-irritating and it's suited for sensitive skin, what's not to love right? Both the toner and the serum are this milky yellow/green gooey mess. I can only describe it as liquified phlegm. It's color and appearance is super off putting, and it smells like medicine. I'm pretty immune to smells and this one really bothered me. I like herby medicinal smells, especially if I know it's from beneficial ingredients, but this was just gross. This stuff is STICKY. It's goopy, doesn't dry well, takes FOREVER to sink in, and leaves a weird, gross film over my skin. I didn't feel hydrated or soothed after putting the two on at all. Not even a little cooling sensation. Then, it pilled like CRAZY. Not must sunscreen, but regular moisturizer caused it to pill and come off like glue/eraser shavings. Did I mention it was sticky? Because even 20 minutes after, my face was still a sticky mess. I had to leave to do stuff and couldn't wash my face and start over again, but if I had the time I definitely would have washed this mess off.Would not buy again, would not use if even if it was given to me for free, and even though I didn't have any reactions to it, I swear it did the opposite of calming... Anyone else tried this line and actually liked it?
