[Routine help] Can anyone provide me with a peer review study that AHA's like glycolic acid can render retinoids ineffective when applied underneath?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I keep seeing warnings about using AHA/BHA's alongside prescription retinoids, but can someone provide an explanation why or how?Besides being a little harsh for some people. Because you can simply lower your glycolic acid percentage and especially with weaker retnoids like differin/adapalene as long as there's a generous wait time in between I don't see why this would be a problem.A lot of people say to simply apply glycolic acid in the AM and the retnoid in the PM, but in the AM I'm already doing: facewash, acv toner, vitamin c serum, moisturizer, sunscreen, primer if im feeling fancy, then my bb cream.
