Beauty Tips For Body Care
[22/F] I started following this sub last September and overhauled my routine. I simplified and saw significant improvements using Johnson's baby wash and jojoba oil, with BP. I was still having cystic acne, so I saw a dermatologist at the end of April who prescribed the following routine:AMCetaphil oil control foaming washClindamycin phosphate lotionCetaphil oil control lotion (spf 30)PMSame washTretinoin 0.025%Same lotionMinocycline 50mgI also take one-a-day women's (yay zinc) and a daily probiotic (the antibiotic upset my stomach). Now my face is cystic acne free. But it is oily again, like when I was a teenager. But I'm also getting lots of little not-inflamed plugs (closed comedones, open comedones, keratin plugs, I'm not sure?) on my forehead, cheeks, jawline. They are tiny and hard. I have subconsciously scratched my forehead and pulled a couple free, so they easily express. But they are numerous.I started getting spots on my nose, so I stopped applying the tretinoin near my nose and it has improved. I'm not sure if this is indicative or not.TL;DR: New routine with medication has gotten rid of cystic acne, but now I'm oily with clogged pores (not inflamed). I think that my cystic acne is gone, now replaced with dehydrated skin acne.Do you agree? Should I change something? I'm supposed to see my dermatologist in July. Should I wait it out and ask the professional? Thanks in advance!
