[Skin concerns] If I'm using Mario Badescu do I still need to lance a spot?

I've never ever gotten a pimple like this on my face so I'm not sure if it's just a regular pimple of a cystic one but it started off really really red for two days under the skin, and so I put ichthammol and tumeric/manuka honey on it for a day and then today I wake up and it's come to a head. I just bought Mario Badescu's buffering lotion and I'm waiting to see how that works.Should the spot treatment be enough, or should I Lance it and put a hydrocolloid bandage on it while it's come to a head?
