[Acne] what would actually happen if a person with persistent acne stops his skin care regimen?

Assuming he has moderate acne and his skin care regimen consists of a cleansers (with Benzoyl Peroxide) , and a moisturizer (with sacyclic acid) plus using ivory bar soap , and has been using the same regimen for over 8 months?
