[Skin Concerns] Alopecia - EYEBROW TATTOO INK REJECTION - What are my options...?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Imgur Yea, I know they look horrible! Here’s my story. I enlisted into the marine corps. at the age of 17, right out of high school. I left for bootcamp two weeks after I graduated. Between 09 and 2014, I was deployed four times. On my fourth deployment, I was shot. A round traveled the back of my kevlar and split my head open. It didn’t hurt too much, just an intense burning sensation once the adrenaline wore off. I was diagnosed with PTSD and then Alopecia soon after.I didn’t mind loosing hair from my arms, legs and elsewhere on my body. But when I lost my eyebrows, it was the first time I felt insecure. So I sought out ways in trying to get them back. I have tried everything from oils (from castor oil to special formula blends like nourishing brow gel, and neubrow with minimal success) to pills (biotin and other special blend vitamins, also with minimal success) to prp injections (also with minimal success) to three eyebrow transplants done by literally the world’s best eyebrow specialist based out of Miami, Florida which, produced the highest yield in hairs but not enough. After three procedures, I have extremely sparse areas on both brows, and my hair is extremely coarse as you can see in the pictures. I even tried praying. So naturally when I heard about microblading I was ECSTATIC! You have no idea. I had my first procedure done by a well-known artist and paid around $500,I believe it was. But literally after a week, the ink on both eyebrows peeled right off leaving behind a dark-grayish blotch on both brows. I was mortified. On top of all the energy and effort I put into restoring my brows, I was left with this. So I went to go see several doctors.I live in NYC so it was really difficult to find a doctor who would empathize with my situation and then be willing to work with me on figuring this out. If you can’t explain your situation to a doctor within 5 minutes you’ll loose them completely as they try to see as many patient$ in a day as possible. As for the VA, I’ll save you guys from that nightmare. But, I found a wonderful dermatologist who’d be willing to work with me. So we (dermatoligist, eyebrow transplant doctor and me) came up with several theories as to why the ink quickly lifted and peeled off. The winning theory was that I had too much scar tissue under my brows from the three transplants and thus the ink would not settle in the epidermis but rather in the tissue. Solution: dissolve the scar tissue. From this point forward (early 2015) I spent a year+ going in every 4 weeks to get cortisone shots which effectively dissolved the elevation I had under both my brows.Fast forward to Jan. 2016, I went in to get the ink on the beginning of my left eyebrow removed by laser as it didn’t align well with my left eye properly. I had the ink removed over 4-5 sessions but I noticed that the small hairs that were there have not grown back since. So, I thought no big deal at least after my next microblading session, I’ll HAVE NATURAL eyebrows. Wrong. I went in on May 2016 to get my eyebrows re-done for the first time since 2015, hoping the ink would settle and heal with no problems. But this time the ink didn’t even last a week, it was gone in a few days.My dermatologist doesn’t know what to do. He says that my immune system is actively removing the ink. But, I don’t think this is it as I have other tattoos (see pictures below) and they all heeled perfectly fine. FYI I had all my tattoos done after I was diagnosed with Alopecia and if my immune system didn’t interfere with the healing process of any of those procedures, it’s a bit difficult to believe my immune system is interfering with my micro-blading procedures.I just don’t know what to do; having f***** up eyebrows is interfering with my life, besides having to wear a hat everywhere, every single day; I fall off my marine corp. contract (been serving as standby reserve since 2014) late this year, I want to re-enlist. However, the marine corp. will not take me because I tattooed my eyebrows and it’s against marine corp. regulations tattoo your face.I want to have the ink removed but I don’t want to loose my hairs as was the case from the small portion I had removed back in Jan. 2016. I read about a method where injecting cream under the skin will lift the ink up and off of my skin. The cream used is Rejuvi and it’s done mainly in Europe, I can’t seem to find anyone that does it here in the U.S. I currently live in NYC and am willing to travel domestically. But, I just don’t know what to do. So, I’m here on reddit hoping someone can provide me with some insight or atleast point me in the right direction. If you don’t have any advice and would like to help, please upvote this thread, I’d like to get as many people’s thoughts and opinions as possible. I fall off of my marine corp. contract by the end of the year so I need to make decisions quick. Below are my pictures, no need to tell me my eyebrows are messed up :)FYI the questions circulating in my head:How can I remove the ink without loosing my eyebrow hairs? (I know my hairs look realllllllllllllllllllllly crazy and that’s because I decided I wasn’t going to touch and do anything until I have a plan) What the hell is going on with my skin? Why won’t it hold the ink? Is there anything I can do so that my body will hold the ink and not reject it? Should I consider a REAL tattoo? tattoo coverup and then actual hair tattoo? I think this is INSANE, but having gone through what I have. I’m way too deep into INSANE territory as it is. Where and who can provide me with help? What kind of doctors? Any specific names? here or in other states, I don’t mind. I just need help Has anyone out there experienced ANYTHING like this? If so, please shoot me a PM or respond below. Where else should I post my story? Which other sub-reedits do you think I’ll have success in finding answers?Imgur Imgur Imgur Imgur
