[PSA] Can we stop perpetuating this myth that niacinamide and vitamin C should not be used together?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
We are basing this myth on one article by FutureDerm and there's only two references in the whole article that actually talks about niacinamide and vitamin C used in combination. If you actually read the article that FutureDerm cites, it also suggests that there are very specific conditions in which this actually happens, and even when it does it happen, it does so in almost negligible amounts. Not to mention, this "doctor" puts fragrance and essential oils in her products, which any decent dermatologist would know, are bad for the skin. It makes no sense that this FutureDerm post has gained so much popularity and hype to the point where we now believe it to be fact, and have actually seen it as pinned posts in a number of skincare subreddits. It's absurd!!If you want to read more about it, I suggest starting here where a cosmetic chemist actually breaks down step by step why that assertion is wrong, but also keeping in mind that there is potential irritation. Before you downgrade the credit of a cosmetic chemist compared to a dermatologist, keep in mind that the sole job of a cosmetic chemist is to know what works on the skin in real-life. A dermatologist is simply one who knows skin diseases and how to treat them, based on products that cosmetic chemists designs.
