[Product Question]Just checking out Deciem products and trying to decide what to buy- can anyone explain what Matrixyl does?

My focus is anti-aging and I was just going to order the Retinol but I got sidetracked looking at the Matrixyl 10% serum. I had heard of Matrixyl before but I thought it was some kind of Retinol substitute. Is it something totally different?Is it more or just as effective as Retinol for anti-ageing?Can you use Matrixyl and Retinol together?Sorry for all the questions, I want to buy everything and I'm getting mind boggled!
