[SkinConcerns] [PSA] Staph on chin - Don't pick at your face people!

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I rarely ever get pimples but when I do, it's the deep ones that hurt & I always pick at them (needles...the whole bit). Well after years of doing this I got a staph infection on my chin. I was so swollen and in so much pain that I barely could talk/eat for days. Went to the doctor and was prescribed antibiotics and they lanced and drained it (seriously SO painful). I think I finally learned my lesson about not popping pimples because this experience has been traumatizing >.< Don't pick at your face! Everyone always told me that and I was like "yea whatever I'd rather have a scab for a few days than a painful pimple." Well apparently a scab isn't the worst thing that could happen like I thought....That leads to my question, anyone that has experienced something similar: Is it normal for my skin to still be hard under the spot where the staph was? It's only been a day since the doctor drained it and I definitely feel much better but I'm getting nervous that my face will never be the same again :(
