Beauty Tips For Body Care
so I mentioned this in a previous thread: I'm a sober alcoholic (2 years next month yo!) who became interested in health & beauty just as part of a general commitment toward physical, mental, and spiritual health. one of the reasons I drank a lot was to self-medicate what I now understand to be OCD.for newcomers, OCD can manifest as often unpleasant unwanted thoughts ("obsessions") and/or the impulse to do something to alleviate them ("compulsions"). it's not just repetitive washing or checking like you see on TV.in my case--among other kinda scarier things--I have a great tendency to fixate on things. if I couple something I find interesting (skincare) with a pleasant ritual (well, skincare), ohhhh that is just asking for trouble!! I will just wanna do it over & over again, because it just feels right.lately I have grown very interested in my new OCM routine. something I logically understand about OCM is that you must not do it more than twice a day, if that even. obviously washing my face every 2-3 hours will wreck my face. so instead I'm reachin out to other SCAddicts: if you have OCD, how do you strike a balance between healthy habits and over or under-doing a routine?
