Beauty Tips For Body Care
I wanted to share a product with you guys and also the recent change to my skincare philosophy that has really helped my skin, and who knows maybe it will help yall out too. Quick info on me: I have tons of closed comedones and cystic acne every once in a while. I have been to 2 dermatologists and lurked on this sub for almost 5 years. My acne journey has been a long one. Okay so first I want to explain my new philosophy so I can describe how the product fits into it.1)I try to use as 'simple' ingredient list products as possible. The least amount of ingredients in a product the better. This makes it much easier to pinpoint what ingredients break me out and what ingredients irritate me.( So far benzol peroxide and glycerin I find irritating while Fatty acids and almost any oil with a comedogenic rating higher than a 1 is a no go.)2) Every part of my face is different and has different needs that are met in different ways. "On this spot I have an active pimple so it needs bacteria fighting ingredients" "Here I have a plug so it needs to be dried up and exfoliated." ect. I dab on different products on with a q-tip almost like I'm pixelating myself. Layering to many products irritates my face so this lets me get the best skin with the least irritation by almost giving my face what it needs pore by pore.3) I also want to try to hit my acne with the 4 most common active ingredients. Salicylic acid, Sulfur, Benzol Peroxide, Tea Tree (mixed with oils like hemp oil which is rated at 0 com level and is high in Linoleic acid kinda.) This is where the sulfur came into place4) This is going to be controversial here but I just can't find a sunblock that works for me. After having horrible dermatitis from trying different sunblocks, to getting huge cystic acne, to spending hundreds of dollars on sunblocks I just can't make it work. So instead I bought a UV protect umbrella, UV protectant film to put in all the windows I can find, and walk (drive) around with big hats. I know that this is probably not enough but my skin is much happier without sunblock. The cream is called De La Cruz Sulfur Ointment. I use it as a spot treatment and as a mask every once in a while. I love love love it. I will definitely be repurchasing. I have found it so much more gentle than a clay mask and Benzol Peroxide (which i use very sparingly). It's really cheap and it's a super simple ingredient list. It's probably the easiest way to get sulfur on yalls faces. Using this method my skin has cleared up quite a lot but it definitely helps most of all in learning more about your skin. Now I know much better what product specifically work with my skin and which don't.here is a link to it De La Cruz linkThere is a soap from the Mexican brand Grisi with a very similar color scheme but I don't like that product. It dries me out really badly however, I've heard some people say that it works great on back acne and it's also very cheap. And here is some info on why Sulfur is something you might want to consider using"One of the main reasons people use sulfur for treating acne is because the element is keratoloytic. This means that it aids in cellular turnover, which results in faster healing from pimples and blemishes. Sulfur is used in many exfoliating products for people with acne prone skin, where the natural keratoloytic properties are assisted by small grains that help remove dead skin and old blemishes. Some people also recommend sulfur for acne because it has mild antibacterial properties" Taken straight from Wisegeekhealth.comSo what do yall think about doing a couple of posts about foreign remedies?
