Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hello everyone!I'm in my 20s and have oily skin, and am prone to some break outs.My current routine is:Morning - Marcelle micellar water - La Roche-Posay pH balanced toner - The Body Shop seaweed mattifying creamNight - Bioderma Sedium face wash - LRP toner again - TBS cream or a facial oil if my skin is feeling kind of dry or yuckyIn the past few months, I also introduced a product by Quanessence, called the Compromised Skin Ointment (http://www.quannessence.ca/products/retail/quannessence-retail-compromised-skin.php#product1). An esthetician recommended it to me to help with breakouts and oily areas. She said to use it as a spot treatment, but I could also put in on my nose and chin (where I have some bumps and what looked like blackheads), and the larger pores on my cheeks. Also, I try to wash my face once a week with the Soap and Glory Scrub Your Nose In It facial scrub, which is supposed to contain AHAs. Here's a link to the ingredients: http://www.soapandglory.com/scrub-your-nose-in-ittmI usually apply it both morning and night. It does help get rid of breakouts faster, but it doesn't seem to do anything for minimizing pores, or getting rid of these things on my face. I've been told that they're blackheads, but after reading things on this thread, I think some might be sebaceous filaments.First, I have these dark looking spots all over my nose. When squeezed, a squishy white substance comes out, rather than a thicker yellow-ish plug with a black tip. I have some of these things on my cupid's bow as well. Then, I have these little bumps in the corners of my nose, and just underneath it as well. They're like little bumps with a little white thing poking out. I tried to take a picture with my phone, but I couldn't get my phone to focus that close up on my face. I think I have some of these things on my chin as well.I have heard about people using BHAs or AHAs to improve skin texture and thought that maybe I should incorporate some into my skincare routine to help with the filaments and bumps around my nose and on my chin. (This is why I picked up the S&G AHA scrub a few months back, but it doesn't seem to produce any lasting difference with respect to these bumps). However, I'm not sure what acids to look for.The reason I mentioned the Quanessence product is that it contains salicylic acid and lactic acid, but doesn't seem to help with this issue. I'm also not sure what the concentration is - it lists these ingredients on the bottle and I no longer have the box it came in. Furthermore, on the link I pasted above, it doesn't even list these acids, but says it contains hyaluronic acid, which I can't seem to find listed on the bottle itself.I'm wondering: 1) What acids to try and product recomendations containing these acids 2) If I incorporate them into my routine, how many times per day/week do I use them, especially if I'm also using the Quannessence product.
