[Skin Concerns] What's wrong with my face? My doctor is stumped.

Beauty Tips For Body Care
First, a little history: My skin is normally pretty healthy, I get a little dry in winter and I have occasional breakouts, but generally it looks and feels fine. I use CeraVe hydrating cleanser followed by Clinique DDMG and I've been happy with that routine for a couple of years now. I add a toner or Stridex red pads when I think of it, and I follow up with Vaseline in really dry weather. I don't have any severe allergies or any kind of weird health problems, and I'm generally fairly healthy. The problem: last Wednesday I started feeling itchy on my arms and face. I had been helping my DH cut some wooden panels so I figured it was just the dust left on my skin and I showered and put my clothes in the laundry as usual. Thursday I woke up with a puffy red face and hives all over my arms. I called my doctor who told me to go to the ER. At the ER they told me it was an allergic reaction to something. They gave me deximethicone and told me to buy some Benadryl or Reactine as well, so I did. The next day my skin felt worse so I went to my regular doctor and she prescribed me 40mg of prednisone and told me to continue with the Reactine and Benadryl. Today is day 4 of the prednisone and my skin is actually worse now. Wtf?!?!I went back to the doctor again this morning, and she's stumped. She's sending me to an allergist tomorrow and a dermatologist as soon as I can get in, and in the meantime she prescribed cephalexin in case it's some sort of infection. Maybe staph or something? So that's where I'm at. I'm absolutely miserable, I feel like I'm wearing a thick rubber mask filled with poison ivy. None of these medications are making me feel better, the Benadryl is just making me slightly numb to the itching.Pictures of my face over the last week, newest to oldest. You can see in the last picture that my face is normally not super puffy. https://imgur.com/a/DnCsw
