Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hey, long time lurker here. I've been suffering from acne since the age of 13 (27 now) and I'm at a point, where I just don't know what to do anymore. I went to four dermatologists during that time and got prescribed one thing after the other. I'm pretty sure I got prescribed everything on the market at least once (except for Roaccutan). At best something worked for a short time, so I turned to educating myself and trying to fix things on my own. However, the latest product I got prescribed is Differin, which I'm currently using. My problem areas are my cheeks, chest and back. Right now I'm only applying products on my face. If I find a routine, that works, I'll apply it on my chest and back as well.http://i.imgur.com/oC3wJ96.jpg http://i.imgur.com/t9jsfp7.jpg (I turned up contrast a little because my phone cam tends to hide blemishes)My current routine:AM:-Wash face with water (I used to apply washing lotion in the morning as well but this sub made me aware, that it's probably not a good idea.)-Every fourth day I apply BHA 2% from Paula's Choice (my skin breaks out and gets irritated if I do it more often than that but I really need to exfoliate my skin or it gets extremely flakey)-Apply Nivea Creme (I also tried CeraVe but it irritates my skin and leaves it flakey.)PM:-Wash face with CeraVe foaming facial cleanser (as recommended by this sub)-Apply Differin-Apply Nivea CremeI tried using Snail Bee High Content Skin each morning recently but I got weird small bumps from it, so I stopped. I also used Aztec Healing Clay with AWC once a week in the past, but it irritated my skin way too much. I ordered some Vitamin C serum recently, hoping it'll help with the redness.I don't shower with hot water anymore, I use different pillow sheets every night, I don't touch my face, I don't expose myself to the sun anymore. Furthermore I cut all carbs, processed foods, dairy products, alcohol and tobacco since January this year. I'm basically on a keto-diet right now. I also take vitamin D,A and omega 3 supplements. I do sports as well (in the evening so I can shower right after). The latest measure I'm taking is refraining from sex and masturbation as much as possible due to DHT possibly being a suspect for increased sebum production - too early to tell if it makes a difference. Now, all this has indeed helped a little. I don't seem to get purulent pimples anymore, that I need to pop. Instead I get really red spots, that itch like hell and disappear after two days or three, leaving red marks.Anyway, I know this is a long shot but I'd appreciate any kind of advice!
