[Misc] Ethnicity and Skincare, and potential Meta question

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I have a question but I'm not sure if it is problematic in nature. I've tried to be considerate of this below, but let me know if I've done a poor job of it.I've noticed there aren't any routine/product suggestions for specific ethnicities in the sidebar and was wondering why that was (and if it mattered to other ScA subscribers).I didn't see much in the general guides on issues that may be more naturally occurring in different skintones (ex: pigmentation around eyes and skin creases, as well as differences in scar tissue and reception to moisturizers and ceramide content ). It's possible I overlooked something, but I came away feeling like the default assumption for skin was "some sort of Caucasian " with various combinations past that (oily, dry, etc).I wasn't sure if this was because:skincare treatment is more about environment (geography, exposure to natural and man made substances, diet and lifestyle) with minimal impact by melanin contentmany studies claiming to be in the name of science on this subject have questionable origins/intent, or because it's difficult to remove other variables that often intersect (such as race, culture, education, income, bias of researcher, etc)?It just hasn't come up a ton yet and/or is addressed in more specific subs.If we only shared research I'd get it, but it isn't like we don't share anecdotal experiences here, and we don't just draw on published studies as a sub.I also can't tell if I'm over thinking this? It seems like that would be useful to see in the sidebar if there is actual relevant information. I think it would be great to be able to find ScA without wondering if you'll have to sift through things that are easily dismissed due to pigmentation or melanin production differences (such as suncare, moisturizing cast, etc).Relevant to this is a study on moisturizer and skin. It considers a lot of variables but really made me wonder if we could do a solid by maybe putting something in the FAQ or sidebar, especially since a future ScA member may wonder if they have to find a niche subreddit for their needs (which isn't bad but I feel like this should be a good starting place regardless).tl;dr: Why isn't their a guide in the sidebar specifically for various ethnicities? Would it be helpful to have one? Can we recognize skin differences among various ethnicities in a skincare centric way and maybe gather anecdotal support in Sca for future readers' ease of use? Is this a non issue and I'm overthinking?
