[Product question] Dermatologist told my mom to use Crisco on her face for dryness - anyone ever tried this?

I know I know - Crisco?! But after looking around online, it seems like this is a thing people have been doing for ages. Ingredients listed on the website are: soybean oil, fully hydrogenated palm oil, mono and diglycerides, TBHQ, and critic acid. My skin is so dry so I'm tempted to try it but had to run it by r/skincareaddiction first
