[Skin Concerns] Everyone knows what I did last summer

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Okay first of all, I know I fucked up.I'm very pale, and usually very careful about sunscreen. But around August 25 this year, I went to a work event where I thought I'd be inside but ended up actually being outside, in direct sunlight, for hours. I had my usual sunscreen on my face and neck, but not on my chest, and was wearing a scoop-neck shirt. Usually I pack a mini sunscreen in my bag for just such emergencies, but I brought a new bag that day and had forgotten to pack it.So obviously I paid for my mistakes with a terrible, deep, dark, peeling sunburn. I'm not even complaining about that, I deserved it. I did my best to keep putting aloe and aspercreme on it as it healed. What I AM complaining about is the fact that now, three MONTHS later, you can still see the sunburn on my chest if I wear anything vaguely low-cut. If you look close, you can even still see the outline of the necklace I was wearing that day, which blocked the sun and made an extra annoying tan, er, burn line. The area that was burned is also drier than my other skin, seems to get irritated easily and sometimes looks red and rashy, especially when I first wake up.SCAers, what is the deal here? Is this permanent? Is there any way to speed up the fading process or do I have to just suck it up? Should I go to a dermatologist??? I literally have no idea.
