[Acne] How do you get rid of closed comedones AFTER they form?

I am desperate to get rid of all of my closed comedones. The only way I can get rid of them is by getting them professionally extracted. If I don't do this, they blow up into huge pimples that still have the 'seed' inside and therefore take months to go away. Please help!
