Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hey y'all! I saw a lot of people posting about supplements especially evening primrose oil and I figure I'd give my opinion on it after 6 weeks of use of both the topical and oral forms. I began this trial in hopes of curing my hormonal acne that I have had for almost 10 years now. So I started off with both oral and topical EPO. I took a 1,300 milligrams capsule EPO (Solgar brand) every night and used EPO topical solution as my moisturizer. My first week was ROUGH. I was breaking out, the oil smelled bad, it made my face feel like an oil slick under my make up after a long day. It was terrible. I broke out so badly in fact that I couldn't convince my self to keep using the topical EPO. It moisturized well, but my skin was just too sensitive for it. I kept taking (and still do!) the supplements for another 8 weeks. It took almost the whole 8 weeks to see a difference. I'm just now feeling stellar about the results. I still get break outs monthly but they tend to be much smaller and much quicker to heal. Because the EPO topical made me break out I looked for another alternative: Aloe! This is the holy grail product for me. It cleared up my discoloration and some scaring and it's wonderful for people with oily skin. It dries completely but leaves your skin feeling moisturized. I use Nature Sense 99% aloe Vera gel day and night and it is AMAZING. The only con is that it smells very earthy and not in a good way. The smell goes away after it dries though! It's cheap, easy to use and a little goes a looong way. 10/10 would recommend.I hope this helps someone out there!Tldr; EPO as a moisturizer made me break out, the EPO supplements helped my monthly breakouts and Aloe Vera gel is the nectar of the gods
