[Product Question] Anyone who has oily skin have success with Differin?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
So, I was using 2.5% benzoyl peroxide in my previous routine but it always made my skin dry and flaky and if I didn't apply it at least once a day, the acne would return. Not to mention bleaching clothes and sheets...Anyhow, I got Differin 0.1% gel and have been applying it every night for about a week now. It is a lot gentler than the BP was, a bit of flaking but much more subtle.I want to say it is working, but man is it frustrating. I know there is an IB phase, which seems like I'm starting to go through now. A bunch of whiteheads are coming out of nowhere.I guess what I want to say is that I've tried SOOOO many products that have never worked (or said there was a purge phase) but they always made my acne worse end of the day.I'm prepared to stick it out for 3 months to see if Differin does anything for my skin, but maybe someone can give me some reassurance and anecdotal feedback on if it worked for them or not and what sort of IB phase did they go through? Also, on Differin, my skin is very oily. I use a cetaphil foaming cleanser which is great and makes my skin feel smooth and hydrated. Also use their PM moisturizer. So I doubt it is my skin being overdry or anything. I think it may be using the BP before and now my skin is adapting/compensating?Tl;dr Been using benzoyl peroxide for 8 months or so, works great but lots of dryness and flakiness. Been on Differin for 1 week, IB is starting, want to know if someone with similar skin (oily) had success with Differin and what sort of IB they went through. Thanks!
