Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hey all,I posted my routine last week and got some awesome tips. Thank you all. I have all good products now and I've been in my routine for about a week.So far my updated routine (combined w/less consistent one I had before) are showing good results. I'm getting isolated white heads in some areas, but I'm treating them with BP and getting better about not popping them. I understand that is purging.I'm looking to make a slight tweak and add Vitamin C to my routine. Someone recommended it and everything I've seen on it is that it's great, but it needs to be in the form of Ascorbic acid etc... so I was out shopping today and decided to try to grab some.Target didn't have any that I could see, so I went to Ulta. The first Ulta the only Vitamin C product they had was powder and the woman said it's "more effective" to use it in powder form and combine it with moisturizer. All of the recommendations I've seen on here are for serums and apparently the concentration is important so I decided that was way too dicey.I ended up deciding I was going to just buy Paula's Choice online or something and going to a different store when I saw a different Ulta and went in. This time the guy was very excited and seemed knowledgable about Vitamin C. He showed me a product and said some superlative about it really quickly (I think something about Vogue saying it's the best) and basically said that they changed how the Vitamin C is absorbed and this one gets you 30% without any negative health effects. The product was Mission Perfection SerumThen I go online and read this: http://www.beautypedia.com/skin-care-reviews/by-brand/clarins/_/Mission-Perfection-Serum and it seems like this doesn't even have Vitamin C in it? At this point I'm super bummed out. Luckily I haven't opened it and I'm planning on returning it. Also it has perfume in it, fucking gross.Going into stores that sell skin products vs being on here is like two completely different worlds. The amount of bullshit, pseudo science and lack of good selection in stores is crazy to me. If you go on here you'd think Vitamin C serums are a common thing but it seems like in physical stores they're always attached to some other bullshit or w/e. I think I'm going to move online only for skin products.Would love to hear any thoughts on this. Also here's my new skin routine with proposed updates in bold:AMDuring shower, wash face with cleanser (let sit for 30 seconds, then wash off)Moisturize (Let dry)Sunscreen[Optional] Beard oil, cologne, pomadePMWash face with cleanser (let sit for 30 seconds, then wash off)[Sun, Tues, Thurs] Exfoliate (Let dry) (apply with cotton pads)Vitamin C serumSpot treat active breakout areas with Benzoyl Peroxide (Let dry)MoisturizeNever touch face unless washed hands immdiately before Use applicator pads to itch scratches etc... Change pillowcase every 3rd day Change sheets every week Wash duvet every weekPlanning on getting the SkinActives Vitamin C Serum. Does anybody know if this is on Amazon under any other name? I can't find it straight up there.
