[DIY] I want to make a mask with a gel texture (think Fresh Rose mask) - how would I achieve this?

I absolutely love, love, love hydrating gel masks. Fresh's Rose mask, and a few of the PTR gel masks are some of my favorites - there's something about the gel texture that just works for my skin.A lot of the DIY masks I see either have a milky or chalky/muddy texture. I am trying to figure out how to create a mask with a similar gel, hydrating consistency as the masks mentioned above. Anyone have any suggestions for economical (or not) base ingredients?
