Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hi everyoneSo I just very recently started posting after being a long-time lurker of SCA, coming here to read and learn but never being brave enough to post.I suffer from a whole lovely bunch of mental health problems, one being depression, and I haven't had the time or energy to take care of my skin for over a year now. I recently broke up with my partner of 2 years and things just felt generally crappy, and in times of dire stress I tend to turn to the great Tube of You. So for whatever reason I ended up on the skincare side of yt, and remembered this sub and started going on here to read and learn again after not coming here for a while.I guess being in a virtual space dedicated to taking care of your skin and your self was exactly what I needed. For maybe two weeks now I have spent more time caring for my body and treating it with gentle respect than I have in a long while. When life gets overwhelming it's nice to have something to distract yourself with, and for me right now it's reading about skincare, doing facemasks and putting on facecream - I know it's a coping mechanism, but it's a way more gentle one than ones I've tried in the past, ya know?.So just thank you for being here and being so knowledgable and having all these wonderful conversations about sunscreen and peels and chemicals I couldn't pronounce to save my life. It's really helping a lil old lurker like me to get through a rough patch <3
