[Acne] Nipped the mother zit in the bud, thank you SCA!

Just wanted to thank SCA for this one. Around a month ago I read this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/SkincareAddiction/comments/4u3l7r/acne_i_stopped_a_massive_zit_from_becoming_a/ I get those mother zits too so it was an awesome read.One of the comments (https://www.reddit.com/r/SkincareAddiction/comments/4u3l7r/comment/d5mof1n) suggested using ice when the mother zit has just started to get inflamed. I thought that's nice, probably won't work for me because life isn't fair and it can't be that simple. I mean it's hormonal right? You need medication to fix hormones, not ice.In the evening around 5 days ago I felt the monthly mother zit coming. It always just starts out as an itchy chin, nothing else really, but I know what it means. The next morning it's more itchy and angry red and shiny for some reason and hurts to put pressure on it. It's not raised yet but feels like there's something hard under there. I know that in just a couple days my chin is gonna look malformed and just disgusting and it's gonna look like that for a week or so before it finally comes to a head, if I can even resist the urge to squeeze it before then because I get impatient wondering when the hell I can get rid of this monster. And of course, it was gonna be at its worst just in time for Easter, hooray!That night I thought what the hell, it can't hurt right? I held ice on it for maybe 30-45 mins. I dunno how long is good and I wasn't timing it, thinking this would probably do nothing anyway.Over the next few days up until today, the redness, itchiness and hardness just kept going down. At some point early on a bump had formed which is now a tiny little thing, almost gone. A couple days after the ice I thought, this can't really be working. I probably just delayed the inevitable. Now there's almost nothing there. I don't even know how this sorcery works but I am gobsmacked it did. So thank you so much SCA! I don't expect this will work every time, but not having to endure every single one of those beasts is just awesome.
