I have been misdiagnosed with acne for years [skin concerns]

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I thought I would share my two cents on my journey to attempting to treat my acne in hopes that it might help someone else.I've had acne for about ten years, but starting a couple of years ago it got incredibly severe. I'm talking rash-like breakouts around my nose, forehead, and chin and cysts the size of walnuts. I tried everything to treat it, from topical home remedies to about ten different pharmacological treatments. Nothing worked. Finally a dermatologist suggested I started accutane, and while I did notice some initial improvement, my the end of the third month I was not showing the progress I had hoped I would. It wasn't until a couple of weeks ago that I went to about my fifth DERMATOLOGIST (note, NOT a nurse practitioner or physician's assistant in a dermatologist's office) that I finally got a new diagnosis. She took one look at me and told me that a have granulomatous rosacea. I didn't need to pay $400 a month for Accutane. And I'll be darned, I'm starting to see improvement already.I just want this post to be a friendly reminder to everyone that it's okay to want a second opinion on something or to switch professionals if you aren't seeing much improvement. If you think you should have more progress in your treatment, then you might very well be right. I learned this after trying all the right things for a totally different skin condition.
