Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hello SCA, My problem isn't so much "acne" as it is bad skin in general. Bad texture, bad red marks, along with about 1-2 smallish blind, red zits on my face at any given time. But my derm prescribed me Doxycycline and tretinoin cream. I'm taking the antibiotic but I have not been using the tretinoin because I fear it will make things worse. The doxycycline is doing wonders for my skin. It has dried up any old spots and is preventing any new ones from getting huge and red and painful. It's really giving my skin a chance to heal up & smoothen out. I love what it's doing. And it's only been 3 weeks on it. And I think it's working because I took too many b12 supplements a few months ago which I hypothesize really messed with my bacteria - which is why I broke out so bad at this time. So, is it a bad idea to take the antibiotic without using a topical? I know the topical is meant to maintain results after weaning off the antibiotic. But I'm hoping a good skin care routine (which I have) would suffice.
