So I went to Montreal for a festival, and obviously I had to stock up on my sunscreens. A clerk walks up to me and asked if I needed any help, and I politely told her "No thank you, I just need to pick up some more sunscreen." (I like the La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL Comfort Creme, or the kids' one).Well a conversation starts and I admit that I always buy sunscreen when I'm in Canada because certain ingredients aren't approved in the states, some locals overhear... then there is laughing.The stranger asked "Wait, but you can buy cigarettes and guns so easily there, but you can't buy good sunscreen?" (Having lived in 2 very pro gun and tobacco states, I couldn't deny her claim).Then the clerk says "I had a client recently say she always buys sunscreen in Canada because she can't buy good sunscreen in the states, I thought she was lying and made it up!"Yes... this was my experience, and I thought the good people of r/SkinCareAddiction would appreciate it.
