[Skin Concerns] How I got rid of my sebaceous filaments

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Skin Type: Combo + Sensitive + clogged poresI've been struggling with a strawberry nose since I hit puberty! Puberty has come and gone but the sebaceous filaments are here to stay. Needless to say I was very self conscious of it since my nose was really awful. Strawberry nose was an understatement! After trying out many different products and routines I finally have an almost perfectly clear nose!! Still tackling with a few deeply clogged pores but you would have to be an inch away from my face to see them lol I thought I'd share my current routines and products on here so that others who are struggling like I did for years can try them out and customize on their own.Customizing fifty shades of snail's routineYou guys probably know this routine. If you don't. Here's the link She's a genius!I do use stridex she recommended in her post. I leave the pad on my nose for like 20 minutes or so.Instead of clay mask I use Caudalie's Instant detox mask on my nose area. It kind of smells and looks like calamine lotion. When it dries, you will see your actual pore sizes lol it's so intriguing and scary at the same time.Another thing I like to use instead of clay mask and detox mask is Mario Badescu's silver powderI do not do the oil and massage step most of the time. The two steps above are enough for my nose to get rid of all the gunk.My own experiments and findingsSkinfood egg white pore mask after every face wash does wonders for SFMy Beauty Diary 2-Step Deep Pore Cleansing Pack once a week also helps clearing SFSkinmiso's pore corset serum daily after toner helps keep the pores clean and balanced. Make sure you leave this on for like 10/15 minutes after application.Bliss' mask-a-'peel' is a bit hard to use but it's great for sucking out deeply clogged SF in your nose. I hope they make it easier to use in the future... Same level of satisfaction as using pore strips because you see all the gunk pulled out on the mask but without the damage.Getting rid of stubborn clogged pores (an ongoing process)A few of them have been there for years. So, getting rid of them hasn't been easy. I'm usingSkinmiso's comedo remover, a bit pricey but effective and the design is very elegant. Every other day I push out a few here and there. I do not use a lot of pressure and I stop when my nose gets red. I'm doing it bit by bit as I go.Labelle's pore cleanser has also been a good advancement. I've been using it for a while now. Once or twice a week max. I do not see any negative effect on my pores so far. It's important not to use this for too long at one go. For some reason it is more effective after shower (I don't use it in shower. It's not waterproof as far as I am aware). Maybe someone can explain it lolI really wouldn't recommend any pore strips. I really really really wouldn't...Also avoid super greasy products whether it's sunscreen or primer or foundation or moisturizer.Hope this helps!
