[Review] Deciem Esho 'Sculpt' Initial Thoughts - Any similar experiences?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
howdy.I received a tube of Sculpt from a Deciem order today - due to the lack of info about this product since it's so new, I figured I'd share my initial thoughts after using it.I ordered this because I was lured by the marketing and my (mostly) love of Deceim. So: excited to try this, I ripped into the packaging and applied it first thing before I even did my morning routine. It's a very wet texture. Application needs to be a little more careful because it's not that thick and can run a bit. I was very cautious to only apply to my lips. It's also a bit creamy and has a nice scent and sweetness (fruity). After about ~2 mins I started to notice a slight tingling. Not a buzz as some lip products give, but more of a numbness? It wasn't unpleasant and I didn't notice any immediate improvement other than the hydration and bit of shine on my lips.A couple more minutes pass and I walk into the bathroom to wash my face: BAM - I'm hit with my reflection which looks like Kylie Jenner doing Ronald McDonald drag. My lips are swollen and bright red but, more alarmingly, so is the skin around my mouth by at least a quarter inch. The skin between my upper lip and nose is the most affected and looked like I got smacked or waxed or something. At this time I also noticed some inflammation on the roof of my mouth where some product must have gotten. I wasn't scared, more amused, but recognized that something in this product is very strong or my body doesn't love it. Probably both.I needed to wash my face (I jumped the gun by applying this stuff before my routine) so it mostly came off my lips. After about 15 minutes, the redness was reduced around my mouth and my lips were left nice and plump from the inflammation. I actually applied a bit more before I left my apartment and noticed less of a reaction on my walk to the subway. Now ~3 hours after my initial application, my lips still feel puffy. They are slightly dry, but not as bad as some other lip plumpers leave you. Definitely will be using a lip moisturizer in conjunction with Sculpt.I'm interested to see the longterm effects of using this product. I've heard mostly negatives about using lip products that produce inflammation but Deciem makes it seems like there is also ingredients in here that should be beneficial for the lips. To be honest, I have not done my due diligence with the ingredient list yet, so I'm not totally sure what's in here.Overall my initial reaction to this product is a 7/10. Obviously the inflammation reaction around my mouth was alarming and if it continues, I will discontinue use. With that said, it's effect seems more powerful than other, similar products I've used. Obviously, this stuff is NOT filler and will not produce persistent plumping and fullness that filler will provide. It will (at least in my case) provide short term volumization due to inflammation. The jury is still out on if there are any longterm benefits to the product. It's rather expensive, so if there isn't I probably won't repurchase.Should have prefaced with this, but I'm a male in my early 20's with sensitive skin that tends to have redness from products (particularly with actives or irritants). I'm not looking for a gloss, and I was able to wear this out without concern of people thinking I was wearing gloss.Eager to hear other reactions or thoughts! I'll try to update over the next couple weeks as I continue to test. xxxxx
