[Personal] I wish more people understood what having bad acne is like

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I had a really bad day yesterday. I went to my dermatologists and she told me she wanted to extend my accutane treatment by another month. I was supposed to be done in 2 weeks. I have had a really hard time with the symptoms and have basically felt like shit for the past 5 1/2 months. I went back to my car and wanted to cry, but knew it was best to take her advice then risk going back for another full round of treatment.I tried reaching out to some friends for support and they just didn't get it. They couldn't sympathize with the crazy symptoms I have been having because they see it as pure vanity that I am going through this. Obviously vanity plays a role but they can't understand when I try and explain the pain I was in before. And how horrible the acne was. And how embarrassing it was to be constantly judge by others (even if its in a sympathetic tone). And that because I am almost 30 it most definitely won't go away for a very long time without drastic measures.Anyway I just needed to rant and since none of my friends understood, I know the people of /r/skincareaddiction will understand
